The Naples Alum Club currently supports two Title 1 elementary schools in the area. We are in the thirteenth year of support for Shadowlawn Elementary and the eighth year for Manatee Elementary.

We sponsor a "Just Book It" book fair at both schools. For this event, the students chose one new book provided by the Pi Phis, along with snacks, temporary tattoos and new book bags. This is a favorite event for the students and our volunteer Pi Phi as well.

To fund our literacy initiatives we have held fundraisers in the past. This year we are asking members to write a check instead. Simplifying the process for all seems to be a better use of our volunteers and their time.
